After creating several empire-like businesses, Mark Victor Hansen is still inspired and passionate about his newest ideas. The question is… are you?

BVB: So Mark, what’s working for you these days?

Mark: Richest Kids in America, that’s what’s working.

I’m a Horatio Alger award winner and we raised a hundred million dollars to help the at-risk kids go to college. Well, we also mentor them, and I helped this kid named Nathan Nguyen from Vietnam whose dad was a POW in his own country for 8 years.

When he got out he took Nathan to America. Nathan had never even been in a car. He’d been eating one egg a day for years. Well, he did really well in school, got a scholarship from Horatio, came to all my seminars on Mega Book Marketing, (because I’ve sold half a billion books), and he got inspired.

So he went home to his daddy and says “Mark just wowed my soul, I’ve got to do this.” His dad says “You’re never going to have more freedom than you do while you’re in college, so build a business.”

He lost a little money in the first year, than started a company called Instrumental Savings. He made over a million, and by the fourth year at USC he had 20 kids working for him selling guitars and musical instruments online and he had made $5.6 million.

I was so inspired by Nathan, I wrote a book called Richest Kids in America. I said, “Oh my God, I could do a virtual program! Let me film you!”

And I started filming him. The kids and the parents are watching it, and they say, “Hey, I never learned any of this stuff about being an entrepreneur!” And now I’ve interviewed 154 kids all of whom did it in different ways.

BVB: So this Nathan story is pretty amazing. And you then took that story and turned it into a book and a virtual program almost overnight, right?

MVH: Right, exactly. I had a kid, 14, come to my house. He figured out how to type on the computer and turn it into an instant app, and sold it first of all to www.musicmix.com for $150 million, and while he was sitting in my house he got a call from Apple and they said “We’re going to make you the youngest billionaire ever, because we want to buy you.”

And I was filming him when the call came in and I realized, there’s a million ways to make a million dollars!

And now I’m seeing it with kids because they’re early adapters, they have less resistance, they don’t have a family and kids and everything like that. It’s going to be the saving grace of America because we’re about to crash and burn with the entitlements and the $15 trillion debt load.

So we turned it into a program. And what’s happened is that even the Universities want it, like Parker University and UCI.

BVB: What has developing the Rich Kids Academy done for you and your business ?

Mark: First of all it has ignited my fire at a level I never expected. I’m waking up at 4 am just like I was when we were selling Chicken Soup. It winds my clock because the kids are getting such instant results.

We’ve been called by major countries.  We’re helping out Australia, and Egypt is saying…“Oh my God you think you’ve got bad unemployment!”

With 50% of college grads in America CAN’T get a job, after their parents have blown $20-160,000 and I’m saying well that sucks… Why don’t we get them to make money before they go to college starting at 14, 15, 16, instead of 28? And then we are having their parents watch this and do it too.

BVB: So it fueled your own desire…

Mark: Has it inspired me? Yes. Have I met people I would have never expected to meet? Yes. Has it made my life purposeful? Massively. Passionately purposeful, 100% yes. And it’s put a lot of focus on Crystal and I, and our whole team, which is a lot of people now.

BVB: Any advice for our visionary audience, Mark?

Mark: First of all you gotta have the dream. Then the second thing is you’ve gotta have the team. And I’ve made an acronym for team: Together Everyone Accomplishes Miracles. I can’t do my own videos, I hire a top videographer to do all this.

It always takes a team, and when you get two together its electric. It goes into the vortex of the universe, and it attracts to you if you keep moving everything you need. Once the seed is planted it pulls out of the dirt everything it needs. Well the same thing in our consciousness, you’re born with all these trillion cells that cant come to work until you make the decision, then they make the provision.

An entrepreneur is someone who takes something and makes it high value. First to the marketplace second to yourself.

It has to wow your soul.

Then to your family, fourth to the future… and then you create a fortune. And an entrepreneur does not do one thing, a real rip-roaring entrepreneur does so many things, keeps reinventing it…
