<p>Because right now you are probably wasting too much doing things you&#8217;re not so good at – <em>and draining your creative energy</em> – when you have an amazing opportunity to find great employees do those things for you.</p>
<p>For me, it’s bookkeeping, administration work and technology. I really SUCK at this stuff! If I did all these things myself, I know that <strong>my entire business would move at a painfully slow rate.</strong><span id="more-3442"></span></p>

<p>But as we continued, I realized that we were essentially talking about <strong>“The Meaning Of Life”</strong>.</p>
<p>Or, at the very least, Deepak Chopra&#8217;s own personal recipe for having a really fulfilling, incredible and enjoyable life.</p>

<p>In today’s episode of The Big Vision Show we’re going to talk about hanging out with the wrong crowd.  </p>
<p>Hi there!  My name is <a href="http://bigvisionbusiness.com/max-simon-story/">Max Simon</a> and welcome.  This is all about turning your big vision into a living, breathing reality right now.  </p>
<p>So lately I’ve been spending time with a lot of multimillionaires and even people that have been in the billionaire range and it’s been helping me understand that people that play at this level just think differently.  They think about things on such a global scale, they think about things in terms of such a mass impact.  They just think about how something can go from this little idea into this massive level of development and impact in the world.  And it’s helped me realize that 99% of people, not just in business but also in life, they think so small; they see things from such a ‘right now’ perspective rather than a ‘what can happen in the future’ and they ultimately make decisions from this very narrow place.  </p>
<p>The problem with that is that that energy, that influence rubs off on you.  And when you’re constantly surrounded by people who are thinking on this small narrow scale, you are destined to stay in this small narrow box yourself.  The flipside is to really put your attention on surrounding yourself constantly with people who are up to incredibly inspiring big things in the world.  </p>
<p>Now first and foremost I know that your mind will probably be going, “Well why would they spend time with me?” Or “Why… that would intimidate me a little bit.”  And it’s true, that’s intimidating and you have to make a good reason for people like that to want to spend time with you.  But what I’ve learned is that these kinds of people want to surround themselves with people that are hungry, that are creative, that are imaginative and that are really open.  So as long as you can show up from that place of being hungry, creative, imaginative and open, I’ve found it’s not nearly as difficult to get in, get connected with, become friends with those who are truly playing at this big global level.  </p>
<p>So that brings me to the three reasons why you want to surround yourself with high-level people.  One is that they will inspire you to think bigger.  Just by being around them you will start to get more creative, more imaginative, start to think on a bigger scale.  And by doing that, that translates into bigger decisions, bigger actions and bigger willingness to take risks. </p>
<p>The second reason is that it will challenge you to actually be a better leader, to contribute more, to have bigger dialogues, to take bigger risks yourself.  Because inherently to get in with these people you’ve got to speak up, you’ve got to start asking them more aggressive or unique questions, you have to start showing up in a different way.  And so just the challenge of that is totally worthwhile in order to elevate your own game.  </p>
<p>And the third reason is that hanging out with people like this is a massive wealth consciousness expansion.  When you see people who are willing to bet millions of dollars on a new project, when you see people who are willing to quickly drop money down in order to have a certain kind of luxury, adventure, spiritual experience it helps you really see how great money can be in the spectrum of fueling all of life; in fueling philanthropy and fueling spirituality and fueling sustainability.  </p>
<p>There’s not a single person that I’m connected with who isn’t doing something that’s massively inspiring on an evolutionary socioeconomic scale.  That was a big word, socioeconomic. </p>
<p>So that brings me to the Big Vision question of the day is what kind of mentors or big thinkers have inspired you?  Share some of the real personal, valuable lessons that you’ve gotten from the people that are really playing a big game around you.  It would also be interesting to see what your thoughts are around hanging out with people that are not playing a big game and whether or not it’s really true for you that they tend to limit your creative thinking.  </p>

<p>What am I going to talk about today?  In today’s episode of The Big Vision Show we’re going to talk about how to do killer videos that inspire people to respond to you. </p>
<p>Hi there.  My name is <a href="http://bigvisionbusiness.com/max-simon-story/">Max Simon</a>.  Welcome to The Big Vision Show.  This is all about how you can do things like make killer videos that people love.  </p>
<p>So here’s the thing, I’ve been in this marketing world for a few years now and you see all sorts of stuff going around like people doing sales pages and people doing emails and if there’s one thing I can say that is radically and dramatically helped me to get my message out and build credibility and inspire people to invest in our programs, it’s video. </p>
<p>And so today I figured since everybody’s all freaked out about doing video, we’d do a video for you about how to do video.  Cool?  Cool. </p>
<p>The first thing to realize is that even though you’re talking to a camera, always remember that you’re talking to your people, you’re talking to your audience.  So even though I’m looking at this little funny camera box right here, I know I’m talking to you, the person watching.  And because of that I can interact with you and have a conversation with you and be myself with you in the same way I would if you’re in front of me.  </p>
<p>So the first point, which is like one of those mindset points, is don’t talk to a camera, talk to an individual; talk to the person that you want to speak to and reach with your message because then you won’t sound like, “Hello, I’m doing video,”which is kind of creepy.  </p>
<p>Step number two is don’t do video against a flat surface.  Let me show you what I mean.  This is me against a flat wall, you see how that makes me look; super flat and almost one dimensional?  Instead what’s important is that you actually put yourself in a place where there’s some space behind you, that way you separate yourself from the background and actually look like a real human being.  </p>
<p>The third thing is to make sure that you have a good opening fast, something quickly that draws people in.  In fact studies have shown that people will turn off your video within four seconds if you don’t capture their attention right away.  So don’t be like, “Hello, my name is Max and today I’d like to share with you a video.”  Boring!  You need to have something that right off the bat grabs them.  So bring your energy levels up, be more compelling and think of what you’re going to say right off the bat that will suck them in. </p>
<p>The fourth thing which is very important even if you don’t have all the fancy equipment is you have to have some kind of decent light.  So let me give you an example; this is me with lights on, this is me with lights off.  With lights I look like there’s a lot of energy and I look like a real human being with color in my face and like I’m somebody not sitting in a dark closet.  And without lights I feel like I’m sitting in a dark closet.  </p>
<p>So the important thing here is you don’t need to have lighting necessarily, even though it’s a good investment, but you do need to be surrounded by natural lighting.  So go shoot your video in front of a window so that the natural light is hitting your face.  Or do it outside where there’s lots of light because if you’re not well lit, which happens in most internet videos, you look like the creepy stalker in the closet. </p>
<p>And the fifth and final point of doing great video, at least for today, is make sure you have fun with it.  I can tell you the content and the words and the exact phrases you say, they don’t matter as much as having a good time, of showcasing who you are, of letting your personality kind of shine through.  So if you have to like shake yourself off a little bit and do some jumping jacks and have somebody behind the camera laugh at you, do that because if you’re lighthearted and having fun about the whole process, I assure you everybody on the other end of the camera will like it a lot more. </p>

<p>In today’s episode of The Big Vision Show we’re going to talk about this:  “This shit’s hard.  That’s why it works.” </p>
<p>Hi there, my name’s <a href="http://bigvisionbusiness.com/max-simon-story/">Max Simon</a> and welcome to The Big Vision Show.  This is all about how you can reach more people and thrive financially. </p>
<p>So I just got back from my dear friend Suzanne Evans’ live event called Be The Change.  It was awesome.  And that’s where that little poster came from that said, “This shit’s hard.  That’s why it works.”  </p>
<p>And here’s the thing, I think that way too many people have created this belief in their mind that successful people just like happen to be successful and it just comes so easily and so natural to them.  And you know like you watch my videos and you’re probably like, “He’s so good on camera,” not realizing I do like 57 takes every time we’re doing this damn thing.  </p>
<p>It’s important to realize that everybody who’s successful in their business, they work hard, like super hard, like put in the time where they need to put in the time, wake up early when they need to wake up early.  They really work their ass off and it can be very difficult.  But the thing is there’s a few key reasons why I think some people are successful and that’s what I wanted to cover in today’s episode.</p>
<p>But first is that I’ve seen successful people always be willing to get help first.  So let’s say you have this new idea and you want to launch a coaching program or you want to put on a live event or you want to get your book out into the world.  What most people do is they just start going and trying to get all that stuff done and they make like a million mistakes and do everything wrong.  </p>
<p>Instead, what successful people do is they first find mentors, teachers, guidance that can put them on the right path first rather than trying to go off and do it on their own.  The second component is that they’re willing to take immediate and fast action when a good opportunity presents itself.  </p>
<p>You see so many times people are like oh yeah I want to do this thing, I want to launch this program, I want to get joint venture partners.  And then the opportunity to actually do it shows up, whether that be via a coaching program, an event or literally just the opportunity to go do that and they come up with all sorts of reasons why they cant.  Instead, a successful person says immediately, this is a good opportunity and I’m going to move on it. </p>
<p>And the third thing that a successful person does is they surround themselves with other people who are playing a big game, who are up to exciting things.  You see you can never underestimate the influence that everybody around you has.  And so if you’re constantly in dialogues that are not inspiring you, that are not pushing you, that are not confronting you to do something more and bigger than you’ve done before, you settle right back into the status quo which is unfortunately where just about everybody is. </p>
<p>So look, the bottom line is that I’m sure that you want to get better results.  I’m sure that you want to do something bigger in the world, but what’s very, very important is that you commit to putting in the time, the energy and the resources to really move yourself forward. </p>
<p>So to wrap up, if you want to be successful get yourself a mentor, start taking fast immediate action.  Like I know you’re freaked about some stuff, go do it.  And third, surround yourself with people who are playing a big game who are going to inspire you. </p>

<p>The truth is that you have to be <strong>VULNERABLE</strong> in order to make a deep connection with your tribe and engage with them on a profoundly personal level. </p>
<p>One of the biggest compliments I receive – <em>even form the top leaders in our industry</em> – is my ability to be truly vulnerable. To talk about my ups and downs, my success and my failures… and to be completely honest and open about all the details and emotions that go along with it. </p>
<p><strong>This is why people engage so deeply with us and our business.</strong> </p>

<p>In today’s episode we’re going to talk about how to get people to engage more deeply with you in your business.  </p>
<p>My name’s <a href="http://bigvisionbusiness.com/max-simon-story/">Max Simon</a>.  Welcome to The Big Vision Show.  This is all about how you can thrive financially for helping others in your business.  </p>
<p>So I was at this conference the other day and something really interesting happened; people kept coming up to me and talking about how they were on our blog and in our newsletter and many people that were the high level players in our industry that I didn’t expect.  And I got to thinking about what it was they were saying to me and every person was commenting on how vulnerable I was during the experience with my father and him going through his dying process and how much they appreciated that.  And it got me thinking that part of the reason I did that, first off just so I can say it, is because that was almost like my journal; that was almost the way that I was processing through this difficult time and it was helpful to have a vehicle to get other people’s perspectives and other people’s wisdom.  </p>
<p>But in hindsight I also realized that it is why people engaged so deeply with us in our business, because me and my team, everybody inside big vision business is so willing to be vulnerable, to share what’s really going on, to share about the ups and downs and the successes and the failures and to actually talk about the details of that.  </p>
<p>So many people in today’s world, they’re posting blogs and sending out emails and creating videos and yet nobody’s responded.  And I believe one of the missing ingredients is real authentic vulnerability; you know what’s truly happening for you that’s emotional.  What’s real, what’s confronting for you?  And not just what’s happening but how are you taking that experience and translating it into a life lesson, something valuable, a teaching, a training, some insight that you’re getting.  </p>
<p>So I wanted to say that if you are asking for people to be more engaged with you, if you’re looking for your tribe to really interact with you more deeply, be willing to actually open yourself up and be a little more exposed in the world, be a little more vulnerable, be a little more real with what’s really going on for you and you’ll find that when you give yourself permission to start doing that publicly, not only does it feel actually really good for you, it’s very comforting to have kind of a public diary, a public journal.  But you’ll also find that people will engage with you much more deeply.  </p>
<p>So with that in mind, today’s question of the day is what can you share with me and the tribe that’s vulnerable for you right now? <p>In this episode of The Big Vision Show we’re going to talk about how your energies and self-confidence is sabotaging your business.  </p>
<p>Hi there, my name is <a href="http://bigvisionbusiness.com/max-simon-story/">Max Simon</a>.  This show is all about how you can take your big vision and kick butt with it in the world.  </p>
<p>So here’s the thing, I just spoke at back-to-back events down here in San Diego and it was a lot of fun.  So if anybody needs a speaker, call on me.  But I would get off stage at these events and people would come rushing up to me and it was really great because many of them bought our programs and wanted to go deeper with us.  And it got me thinking, as I was watching all the other speakers and I was watching all the other people in the room, why wasn’t that same kind of thing happening to everybody else?  And as I had more and more dialogues with the people there, I realized it was because their energy and the way that they were interacting with people actually was kind of turning people off.  </p>
<p>So I figured we’d have a very real dialogue today about what kind of energy you need to cultivate when you’re interacting with people to inspire them to trust you and ultimately buy from you.  Because I have a feeling most of you are doing it wrong. </p>
<p>So in my experience there’s two types of people in our world.  The first type their energy is so intense and it’s like, “Hey this is what I’m doing, this is what I’m up to, blah, blah, blah.”  And it literally freaks me out.  Too intense translates to too overwhelming, too scary, not trustworthy.  It’s like that too intent energy will immediately get somebody to say this person is inauthentic, it’s not real, it’s hypey and I don’t want anything to do with it.  </p>
<p>The flip side is when people are too soft; “Hi, I&#8211; I&#8211; I have something that can help you. I&#8211; I have some&#8211; something that will really help you out.”  It’s like what did you say?  Too soft means I don’t feel the confidence to spend money on you.  Too soft is I don’t really believe you’re going to be able to help me.  </p>
<p>So there’s these two energies that people seem to most prominently exhibit; too intense or too soft.  And I’ve found if you sway to either one side, you’re basically setting yourself up for people to say no to you. </p>
<p>So I’ll share with you what I’ve done because it’s worked pretty well for me since we’ve been able to generate millions of dollars and that’s what I call Centered Confrontation.  </p>
<p>And centered confrontation means first and foremost I’m centered in myself.  I have a detached attitude about whether or not somebody works with us, I’m able to stay kind of lighthearted in my approach and lighthearted in the way I am in the world.  But the confrontation or being confronting means that I’m also willing to laser in when somebody’s playing small, I’m willing to confront them when I see them being limiting or wavering on something that’s important to them.  </p>
<p>So this blend of centeredness and confronting them when I see an opening that really is keeping them small is what’s allowed people to one, not feel like I’m pushing them or hypey or anything like that.  Well also knowing that I’m going to hold them to their highest.</p>
<p>Now I don’t know if that would work for you, but that’s today’s question of the day. <p>Another way of saying this is true transformation. When someone has a radical shift. When they make a quantum leap. When they do something they never thought possible.</p>
<p>That could look like having your biggest financial month ever (some of my students have gone from barely scraping by to $80,000 months).</p>
<p>That could look like finally having the courage to start doing joint ventures and then securing a promotion with the biggest name player in your industry (yes, this has also happened many times).</p>
<p>Or that could look like doing a video launch and generating more money in a few weeks than you made all of last year (the number of stories we have like this are simply mind-blowing).</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;"><strong>This</strong><strong> is what really gets my blood boiling.</strong></h3>
<p>But there is a problem.</p>
<p>And this deep almost UN-solvable mystery often keeps me up at night. Thinking. Wondering. Wishing.</p>
<p><em><strong>What is it?</strong></em></p>
<p>It&#8217;s the question: &#8220;<em>why are some people simply unable to breakthrough and get better financial results?&#8221;</em></p>
<p>I mean seriously&#8230; what&#8217;s the real difference between wealthy people &amp; broke people?</p>
<p>Now I&#8217;m sure there are a million theories we could all come up with to answer this question&#8230; but like anything, I believe there has to be some patterns. Some common factors. Some reliable formula.</p>
<p>Right?</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;"><strong>The Top 3 Differences Between<br />
Wealthy People &amp; Broke People</strong></h3>
<p>Here&#8217;s what I have seen and experienced (as someone who has generated millions of dollars in just a few short years of being in business).</p>
<p><strong>Difference #1:</strong> Wealthy people find mentors who know more than they do, invest in their support, &amp; become very coach-able.</p>
<p>Poor people try to figure it out on their own, resist help like the plague, and are very skeptical about what others know.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s strange&#8230; but you can almost tell that someone is UN-successful just by the way they interact with you and how open they are to your support. Especially when they are struggling.</p>
<p><strong>Difference #2: </strong>Wealthy people focus on the opportunity for growth, transformation, and impact when making big decisions to move them forward.</p>
<p>Poor people focus on their current circumstances, their limitations, and their fears which leads them to miss making big decisions and keeps them exactly where they are.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve watched it happen over and over again.</p>
<p>Something great shows up an a wealth-conscious individual instantly sees the opportunity for growth and says YES&#8230; even before they know how to make it happen.</p>
<p>On the other hand, a poverty conscious person is shown the same opportunity and instantly finds all the reasons why &#8220;they can&#8217;t&#8221; and thus makes the decision to pass and stay stuck.</p>
<p><strong>Difference #3: </strong>wealthy people are willing to go after what they want with reckless abandon where as poor people continue to wait for some magical opportunity to show up and shift everything for them without having to do the work.</p>
<p>I mean&#8230; the truth is that nobody really knows how things are going to work out in the beginning.</p>
<p>But to a wealth conscious person, that doesn&#8217;t matter.</p>
<p>Because you know the results don&#8217;t actually matter when you play full out. When you take risks that force you to grow. When you un-apologetically go after what you want.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;"><strong>Why Am I Sharing This With You Today?</strong></h3>
<p>Because I&#8217;ve been spending a lot of time with incredible people who are making a huge impact AND making massive amounts of money lately.</p>
