First of all, wonderful work. A lot of density here, which requires that I stop and start again and again. You are a fount of ideas and concepts.

I was just reading a book about human evolution and came across a concept related to “tribe.” It is that the tribe not only has common needs—which you address straight on—but also have shared stories, narratives, myths and agreements.

So my question really is: Do I need to authentically share the identity of the tribe? In many ways, this would be beneficial to understanding my target market, but there are significant downsides when you have to represent a singular product offering to a variety of different tribes.

    Thoughts?

Thanks Ben. NO, you do not have to share the identity of your tribe. But you do have to KNOW them inside and out, which often requires a little more work if you are not a reflection. But YES, it is totally possible. You simply need to understand their unique desires, challenges, words, and interests in order to serve and market to them best. Make sense?
