Marketing and sales isn’t complicated.
Marketing is about connecting with people who have a problem you know how to solve. Sales is about having a conversation with them about what they want and how you can help them get it.
The best marketing strategies are simple and direct. They focus on the personal connection and conversation. Because virtually all of your clients hire you because they know you already. All you need to do is spark and interest and initiate a conversation to move them forward so they hire you.
Today’s video shows you a beautifully elegant and simple marketing strategy you can implement right away to get more clients.
James,
Thank you for that insight of email marketing. I will definitely use the approach that you taught in your video.
Patricia
It was excellent. Immediately sent the exact messages to 20 people using the steps and got 15 responses immediately.
Great video and email concept. I’m going to try this today
I like this idea of authentic communication and allowing the person (future client) to tell us what they are looking for and have already attempted before we offer our services. It also helps to pre-screen them, to know ahead of time if they would or would not be an ideal client, again, all while being authentic. Cheers!
That’s exactly right, Joe!
Good interpretation of Dean Jackson’s 9 Word Email.
Timing could not have been more perfect to clarify what I need to do. I am about to launch a “warm calling” campaign and this is exactly the information I was seeking in how to engage potential clients. I have a list of people who have contacted me over the past 12 years that did not hire me at the time but that I can refer to and the language you suggest I use feels comfortable and easy to implement. Thank you!
Brilliant as always, James. That Amsterdam air (and pastries) must be good for you. 🙂
Going to give this a try.
Thanks.
Thank you for making so easy and so clear. I own an internet talk radio station, and this information is invaluable to me. I really appreciate this bit of knowledge. Thanks again!
Sending this to people who expressed an interest by giving their email to get some books and pamphlets on what I offer.
Thank you
Hey James! Good to see you back! I always listen to your advice – the simplicity of your approach always works! You did me well in our Elevate program with the enrollment call system (and other coaching) so I will try this new email system and see how it goes.
I love simple. That’s my key word this year in every sense. You and Melody look happy in Amsterdam! Blessings, Marla
Hi Marla – great to hear from you. Yes, this is a simple strategy that’s a nice mix of art and science. 🙂
Thanks James. So simple but so effective. It is on my list to test.
Thanks, James. Looks interesting. I’m going to give it a try.
Super simple and brilliant all wrapped in one neat little package. Thanks much.
BRILLIANT!
You’ve done a really first class job explaining this initial stage of getting people interested in working with you. The crux of it being “the right people”.
I can’t begin to tell you of the amount of time I personally have wasted on people who were never ever really going to work with me, simply because they were the wrong people to be dealing with in the first place. Dealing only with people who are actually interested & not trying to make people interested who aren’t = your half way there!!!
Hi Michael,
This is exactly right. That’s why you want them to step forward to you. All you do is put out the feelers on the outcome of your business and see who takes the next step towards you. This is the heart of all the best marketing strategies – compel people by their own self-interest vs. trying to convince.
Good information…….Love the short and sweet subject line…..
Thank you…..
Going to try this James thanks a lot!
Hey James – would this work with people you are connected with on Linkedin but you haven’t met?
Hi Glenise – This strategy is for people who you’ve already met. If you send it to people who don’t know you, it’ll be odd from their point of view. There has to already be a past meeting or connection. But if you have a LinkedIn group you lead and you’re active in it, then the 10-word email might work.
The point is, people need context for this strategy to work properly.
Many thanks, this website is extremely helpful
