The Story Of A Big Soul In A Little Body (funny & weird)

July 14, 2011 Posted by Max Simon

I’m often asked: “How did you build such a successful business so quickly at a young age?”

Well… I decided to record a raw, real, and honest video about my story to now. It’s pretty funny! And I share some stories I haven’t talked about in a long time…

At the end of the video, you’ll hear about my “5 Golden Rules” that will really support you in finding your own “sweet spot” and making the kind of impact you desire.

Hi Max, I met you at Milana Leshinky’s Recurring Revenue Gig last fall, and I want to finally say that I appreciate your honesty in a media world filled with a lot of glitz. I enjoyed your story and feel all generations now need models of authenticity.

  2. avatar Mark Rabbitt says:

    Max,

Thank you for sharing your story. It’s an inspiration to listen to your words as I make my own transition in life across the unknown abyss.

Service is truly the greatest gift we can give to others and more importantly, to ourselves.

I look forward to working with in the near future.

It’s often scary to not know what’s coming next… and I know from own experience that everything will be ok if you just keep putting one foot in front of the other… thanks for sharing Mark. I look forward to working with you in the future as well… Much love, Max

Thanks for sharing this video! It has started my day in such a good, firing way!

The information you shared is right on time for me. I am currently looking to find my “sweet spot.” I have been on this journey for appx. 1 year. I am now getting closer to what that is….I will look into some of your programs and services to continue to find my “sweet spot.”

    Hi Max,

Thank you for sharing your story…it’s inspiring to hear how you were able to turn things around in your life by finding your sweet spot. I thought I had found my sweet spot, but the results I’m getting don’t seem to agree with my assessment. So, onward I go, evolving and changing, and uncovering the layers that lead me to my true sweet spot.

    All the best to you,

    Vasi

    • avatar Max Simon says:

I hear you Vasi… and that’s very honest of you to declare your results aren’t working. Keep looking for clues and getting support… you will get it right. Much love, Max

  5. I invested 20 minutes out of my Day on your video… AND I AM HAPPY I DID!

So many things you said about your personality and growing pains in the beginning, I deeply resonated with for myself, WOW! Big vision Entrepreneurs have a lot in common! Way to GO Max! I do hear some underlying sadness in your voice – at times – and I am looking forward to your narratives reflecting your Authentic Divine Enthusiasm for what you are doing!

Keep on Shinin’ and Singing your Truth! and Thank YOU for the videos! They are perfect for me and my current challenges & opportunities with New Earth.

Thanks for sharing Arttemis… it always makes me smile when people invest their time to hear me speak… so I really appreciate you saying that! Much love, Max

Dear Max, Once again you have hit it out of the park ! For one so young, you have much deep wisdom and an old soul. Your words inspire and touch me deeply because I am at a serious crossroad in my life. At a time when my peers are transitioning out of their careers, I am still seeking my “sweet spot.” Hearing your words reminds me that I have found it, but just can’t seem to pull it all together in a viable and profitable manner. Focus and Belief – that is what I learned from you today. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself with all of us.

    • avatar Max Simon says:

I’m so grateful to hear that my story has made such a positive impact on you. THANK YOU! And I’m glad you learned something that could help you as well… Much love, Max

  7. avatar Julie Catzin says:

    Max,

Your video was great. In fact, it was eye-opening to reflect on your story. I’m not one to blame my parents for my situation or anything like that, but I’ve often wondered how much “better” my life would have been if I had parents that taught me to eat healthy or manage money or live holistically. Maybe – I tell myself – I would have struggled less in my life. Well, you actually HAD the life I wish I had had growing up and yet you struggled to find your identity too. That hit home for me. And although my sweet spot if far different from anything my family is used to or what I grew up with, I am moving toward it day by day. Thanks for your encouragement!
    Julie

ALL of us think the grass is greener on the other side. My friend Alexis Neely calls it “comparison despair”. It’s wild! And I’m glad that you are able to come back to the truth… that we are in the perfect place right where we are. You know? THANKS FOR SHARING! Much love, Max

  8. Thanks for the great video Max!

I love the part about paying attention to your results. I think that it’s easy to keep doing something that’s not working because it “seems” like the right thing to do or “everyone else is doing it.”

It takes a combination of awareness and honesty to say: What I’m doing is not working or I’m not happy and I’m going to readjust.

    • avatar Max Simon says:

It’s one of the BIGGEST mistakes I see people making. I belive Einstein said it perfectly: “keep doing the same thing and you’ll keep getting the same results.” THANKS for sharing… Much love!

  9. avatar October says:

    Dear Max,
It always makes me happy to see your name in my email in box… and the subject and presentation are always enriching. Like a previous poster I am still looking for a “sweet spot” at what used to be retirement age. And with a full-time wheelchair disability, it’s taking a little more creativity and faith to gain clarity around my gifts and passions and how a reasonable business opportunity can be formed around them.

Thanks for your funny and enlightening and — as always — authentic story.

    • avatar Max Simon says:

What an incredibly sweet thing to say… thanks October. Grateful for your time and energy… Much love, Max

  10. avatar Steven Manus says:

  13. avatar Deb says:

As always, Max, your video is concise, heartfelt and content full. You inspire me to follow my passion and fascination. The business aspect makes no sense to me and I am at the point where that is just fine. I kept trying to get myself stoked about figuring out how to start a business, but that is not my thing. Being an empath and helping others clear their bodies of cellular, emotional and mental crappolla is what I love and can do joyfully for hours. Everything you have given freely in your videos has helped clarify my path and I appreciate the encouragement to be me without limits and without apology.
Knowing how you grew up; the circumstances and your experiences, is invaluable. Thank you so much for sharing of yourself honestly and generously. You seriously rock.
    Love,
    Deb

    • avatar Max Simon says:

My greatest suggestion for you would be to continue to invest in business training… to get clarity, direction, and the steps. I can’t even begin to tell you how much time you will save by getting this help. Much love, Max

  14. avatar Rick says:

    Hello Max:
Great story, and I can identify with not identifying, as I too wanted to do many different things, and wound up away from what I was and from what I wanted to do/be. Not sure that I will be getting on your waiting list for $54,000 per year, though for your coaching. I wish you the best though!

    Rick

  15. Hi Max
I thoroughly enjoyed your story and like some others here I can relate to searching for an authentic identity. I think your parents helped in the sense that you got through your searching at a very young age. I am 62 and I do what I love to do( transformational coaching) and yet, I do it for free because I am unable to market or do whatever needs to be done to make money.
Thanks for the encouragement and tips.

    Lots of love

  16. avatar Lay Tan says:

Thank you. This is very inspiring but also helpful information. I am sold-it is possible to create the lifestyle I dream of and do the work I love.

Wishing you many blessings and success to keep doing what you love-inspire!

    Lay

WOW Samah. I can really feel your appreciation and I’m grateful. THANK YOU for being a part of this tribe… Much love MAx

  18. Max,

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I’ve found my sweet spot and that is Chronic Pain coaching. There aren’t very many chronic pain coaches out there so I’m having to educate health care providers about my existence. This is not easy; however, I’m not giving up. I believe that people need to focus on themselves so they can rise above a chronic pain condition. Your story makes me realize that I’ve chosen the right path for me.I just have to help people rise above their pain and focus on living a fulfilled life. Thank you again.

  19. avatar Margo says:

Thanks so much Max. Always look forward to seeing you in my email because I know it’s gonna be something great. This was exactly what I needed to hear right now. I appreciate you more than you know

    • avatar Max Simon says:

You’re very welcome Margo. Thank you for sharing. I’m grateful for you too… Much love, Max

  20. avatar Aline says:

    Hi Max,

I spend a lot of time trying to do what pleased others or what succeed to others. I’m more and more able to give myself permission to align my choices with what I really really want. Thanks for the reminder!

My sweet spot is to help parents to build and keep a healthy relationship with their children at all age and stay confident whatever happens. I shared your story with my Facebook friends because i find it so inspiring! You’re a big soul. Thanks for sharing your greatness and encouraging us to bring our own greatness out to serve more people and enjoy a great life.

  21. avatar Max Simon says:

First Aline, THANK YOU so much for sharing this story with your Facebook friends. I really appreciate that.

And second, you’re right on the money about making choices that are aligned with what you really want. It’s the best way of making the biggest difference in the world! Much love… Max

  22. avatar Steve Soucy says:

Max what a great video. Thank you so much for the reveal. I love that you are helping people find their sweet spot. That must be extremely rewarding work. I was also being coached by John Assaraf, but disagreed with something he said. I then let it burrow under my saddle, until it bothered me too much to continue.

When you say learn from those “one step ahead,” does that mean someone who is slightly ahead of you in personal progress, or was that a general comment about seeking coaching from anyone we perceive as being further along the “journey” than we ourselves are.

    • avatar Max Simon says:

Hey Steve. What an AWESOME question!!

And first, let me start by asking you to do whatever you need to “clear” the energy with you and John. In this industry, you DON’T have to agree with everything someone says. But what I find happens is a lot of “bad-mouthing and gossip” happens when it occurs… and that doesn’t serve anyone. Not saying that’s what you’re doing. Just want you to stay “free and clear” to create your success.

To answer your question, I mean someone who is a step ahead in the area of your interest. So if you are looking to grow a business, find entrepreneurs in the industry you desire to be in that have already done it. Learn from those who are masters in the area you want to master. Make sense?

      Much love, Max

  23. avatar Steve Soucy says:

and yes, I’m putting your video on my profile too.

  24. avatar Louisa says:

    Hello Max,

It was so great to hear your story, how it all began for you. You are truly inspirational in everything you do. I’m at a point in my life, were I’m about to start my own business, but I don’t have a clue about business, frankly it scares me. However I love what I do, it does not feel like work.

Have you ever thought of visiting Australia sometime?

    Warmest regards,
    Louisa

  25. avatar Joy says:

Thank-you Max, for sharing this story and the great and valuable tips at the end.

  26. Hi, I have no idea why your email arrived in my email box. Usually,
I throw away what I don’t recognize, but I don’t know why, I watched your video.
It was interesting and useful. I confirm that you know how to connect with people, obviously.
I would probably need a huge help for my business, but I would say the most draining factor is my private life.
I thought that by coming from France to the US, I would leave everything behind.
The fact is that pain has no frontier and is international…
I feel so lost, that I don’t even know where to start…
But thank you for this video, I think you said important and useful things.
