BVB: What is one specific area of your business that is working really well?
Milana: Without a doubt, product launches. I don’t know where I would be without them. I don’t think I’d be able to produce the results I produce.
For me, it has been so successful, I have launched so many different things. If I were not launching, I would just have a bunch of different products sitting on my website doing nothing.
I am committed to doing a launch at least twice a year.
I do two big launches with Joint Venture partners a year, and then I do 2-3 internal launches, which means I don’t work with JV Partners, I just launch to my own database.
BVB: What are some of the specific results you are seeing from mastering launches?
Milana: What happens is when a product is launched, people not only buy that specific product, but they get to know about your other products as well. People become curious so they click on different links on your site, and watch videos that may be there.
The whole idea of a launch is to create a sequence that builds anticipation and visibility. So all of a sudden, in a short period of time, people get to know you like they’ve never known you before.
Especially if you do it with JV Partners, you build credibility very quickly because multiple people are promoting you. You get to build your mailing list at the same time that you are selling your product, and the sales for other products benefits as well.
It all trickles down for months after a single launch.
And if you do it right, if you are launching a product that represents your brand really well, then the whole market recognizes your name very quickly.
And I always attract new Joint Venture partners because of the launch effort.
For example, the way I found Max… I saw Christian Mickelson promoting his Sold-Out Seminars program, and I was really attracted to that. It was the right topic for my audience, and I approached him. And I became his JV partner. And that happens to me all the time when I launch something. People want to promote me. And we start a relationship.
Another thing is cash surge. All I have to really do is a few weeks of launches, and then I can just chill on the beach!
And even if you have a slow month during the year, it’s not something to worry about, because the launches will bring in some really nice cash flow.
I don’t worry about cash flow on a daily or even weekly basis.
These are some of the amazing benefits my business has received from focusing on doing a few launches a year.
BVB: What are some tips for people to “do it right” from the start?
Milana: My launches always generate between $10,000 and $143,000 – I always try to find a unique and big idea behind my launch. Most of the time it’s enough to be different than what others are doing, and that’s when I get results.
One of my clients asked me “Milana, how do you do a launch.” And I wrote down the steps for her on a single sheet of paper. And she looked at me and couldn’t believe how simple it is. So many people tend to complicate it. There are definitely technical details that are important, but on a conceptual level, it is really very simple.
From that piece of paper I actually developed a program about how to do a launch, and one of the places I start is “Discover a Big Idea.” And maybe that idea is in the title of your program, the format, the angle, or your methodology. There is something that is different from what everyone else is doing. If you can find that, then you are golden. Everything else will be supercharged by that idea.
BVB: Well, how do you get a big idea?
And then what can YOU say that will just stop them in their tracks, and get them to pay attention to you?
There are many questions like this that can help you come up with a big idea, you need to dig into your market. You can even do a survey to get your juices flowing.
BVB: And then what?
Milana: Then you will have to come up with the sequence for your launch. I like to do 3 videos, and then a live webinar or teleclass. You want to come up with different ideas for what you are going to teach – these videos and webinars need to be educational.
Your sequence must support your big idea with different teaching points.
And then you get people into that sequence! JV Partners is one way to do this, promoting to your own list, etc.
The most important thing is to remember is that this can be as simple or as complicated as you want it to be.
One thing I do is teach Launch Accelerators. So there are more advanced ways to do a launch, but noone needs to do these right away. It’s better to keep it simple in the beginning, and then add more advanced strategy as you go.
